At present associate professor at the Moscow Conservatory, he teaches in the piano department and the faculty of Historical and Modern Performing Art. Martynov has won prizes at several international competitions: the Maria Canals (Barceloną, 1991), Ennio Porrino (Cagliari, 1993), the Mozart Competition (Salzburg, 1999). He has participated in many prestigious festivals including Moscows December Evenings of Svyatoslav Richter, the York Early Music Christmas Festival in the UK, the Wurzburg Mozart Festival in Germany, the Vantaa Barock Festival in Finland and the Bruges Festival Musica Antiqua in Belgium.
